Team USA Dance Tryouts The USA Federation for Sport Cheerleading would like to announce the selection of the National dance team to represent the United States of America in the 2013 International Cheer Union World Championship April 26, 2013. Team USA Dance Requirements
At the discretion of USA Cheer, teams may be asked to adjust or alter routines for the ICU Championship. Teams must be willing and able to comply with requests for adjustments. The coaching staff of the chosen team will remain coaches for Team USA and will collaborate with Director of Dance for USA Cheer for all related decisions. All final decisions are at the discretion of the Director of Dance for USA Cheer and/or the Director of USA Cheer.
Selection Process
Team selection is based on the group that will best represent the US in one, two or three of the categories available at the ICU Championship. (Team chosen will not be required to compete in all 3 categories at the ICU Championship) A panel of judges from different areas of the country with diverse dance backgrounds will form the Team USA Dance selection committee. The committee will select a team based on the following:
