USA Cheer - 2013 Team USA Cheer and Dance

Cheer:
On January 21, the top cheerleaders from around the country traveled to Orlando, FL to try out for Team USA. Two teams were selected, an all girl and coed team. The two teams will compete at the ICU Championship on April 26, 2013 against the best teams from other countries. More than 75 countries from around the world will compete at the Championship. Each country can only bring one coed and one all girl team to the championship, making the winners the best team in the world!

Coaches for the 2013 All Girl Team include Tony Nash and Misty Hodges and coaches for the Coed Team include David McDowell and LeRoy McCullough.

Dance:

Squads who tried out for Team USA Dance submitted a video for the tryout process and were able to try out for as many categories as they wanted. The different categories include Jazz, Hip Hop and Freestyle.

After reviewing all of the outstanding videos, USA Cheer is excited to announce that the University of Cincinnati and Arizona State University will be representing Team USA Dance at the 2013 ICU Championship in Orlando, FL on April 26, 2013.

Arizona State University is a power house in jazz and the University of Cincinnati brings a tremendous amount of talent in both hip hop and pom.

Team USA has competed in the ICU Championship since 2009 and has won 23 gold medals.
