The Active Athletes Assembly serves as the voice of all athletes. The Assembly appoints active athletes to the Board of Directors, and to other positions within USA Cheer. The USA Cheer Active Athletes Assembly is comprised of a diverse group of athletes from across the country with extensive training and success in all disciplines of cheer.

David McDowell - Chair, Board of Directors Representative
He is the Coed Coach for Team USA. He also was the Head Cheer Coach for the University of Alabama in 2011 and the Head Cheer Coach for the University of Florida in 2005-2006. David also spent many years as a professional cheer instructor.
Chelsey Kannan - Board of Directors Representative
In high school, she cheered at Brookwood High School. Then went onto cheer for Hawaii Pacific University and won two national championships on the small coed team and three All-Girl stunt titles. She was also part of Team USA's All-Girl Team in 2010, 2011 and 2012. She is currently a Universal Cheerleaders Association instructor and is attending graduate school at Georgia State University.
Ryan Martin - Secretary
Ryan grew up in Lexington, KY and won four KAPOS state titles, five UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship titles, and one UCA partner stunt title with Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She currently is a member of the University of Alabama cheerleading team that placed first at the 2011 UCA College Nationals and a member of the Team USA Coed team that took home the gold medal at the 2011 and 2012 ICU World Championships.
David started his cheerleading career at Taverse City West Senior High in Michigan. He then continued his career at Central Michigan University where he was the captain. From there he started cheering at Morehead State University where he won three national championships and graduated with two teaching certifications and a masters. David is currently earning his EdD in Special Education.
Savanna is the Head Cheer Coach at Hawaii Pacific University, were her team was a two time National Champion in 2012 at NCA College Nationals. She also cheered at HPU were she won two national titles in 2008 and 2010. In 2010 and 2011 she represented at the ICU World Championship were she won 4 gold medals; two with Team USA All Girl and two with her All Girl Stunt Group.
Jasmine is a former cheer captain for Navarro College where she won two NCA National titles. She was also a member of the Team USA All Girl team that took home the gold medal at the 2011 ICU World Championship.
Amanda was a five-time State All-Around Gymnastics Champion and competed in levels 5-10. She competed at Worlds three times with Planet Cheer. She has been the captain of Team USA All Girl since the first season and has won four ICU World Championships with the All Girl team. She is currently the Tumbling Director at Legends Elite.
Emily is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Originally from northern New Jersey, she has been a long time choreographer and coach for many teams in the Northeast Region. Emily is currently the cheerleading coach at Temple University.
David is the assistant coach at Bowling Green State University. He is a former cheerleader at Morehead State University from 2006-2008. He was on Team USA in 2011 and 2012, helping them win a gold medal both years. He is also a USA Instructor.
Kendra graduated from Hillcrest High School in Alabama and then went on to cheer at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She spends her summers working as an instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Associations.
